Chapter 4: Crash-landing of Fate

“I HAVE TO DO TRAINING AGAIN???” I protested while looking at Bio with tears nearly welling in my eyes… I did NOT want to take that training course again since I already know it like the back of my hand.

“Yes Tsubasa, you have to take the training again, and nothing will change my mind…I cannot allow you to become rusty around the edges, this is a serious matter soldier and you should know it! Lives are at stake and they are no ordinary lives…” Bio replied with his usual serious military tone.

“Yes, you’re right Captain…I should just go and take it now again…*Sigh*” I said while going to the… ugh…training chambers…

“Oh yeah, one more thing…I’m no longer Captain Bio…I am “General” Bio.” Bio said while pointing at his military uniform… He had the badges of a General.

“GENERAL?? Wow! So you became General in less than 6 years? Impressive Cap… I mean General!” I said while saluting.

“At ease soldier… And skip the formalities; you and I are now like family correct? Just call me Bio” Bio said while grinning a little.

“OK Bio sir!” I replied back while saluting again.

“Oh Tsubasa…you never change!” Bio laughed and so did I.  I was about to head to the training chambers when a male Eevee soldier came rushing into the room.

“General! It’s an emergency! We have discovered some sort of aircraft that crashed 5 miles away from here! Our scanners indicate that the ones inside are alive, but barely!!” The soldier said while trying to catch his breath from all the running.

“This is a serious situation indeed! Tsubasa, inform your friends about what is happening and come back to prep for a rescue mission!” Bio demanded.

“OK, but what about my training?” I replied.

“Well, if you prove that you can complete this rescue mission without screwing up, you can forget about it… How about that?” Bio said as he gave me a semi-smile… You know… those that are almost like smiles but are not.

“UNDERSTOOD!!” I said and ran towards where everyone was training.

Since there was barely time, I flew to where they were, just dropping in the training chambers from the sky.
“Snooping as usual I see!” Andrew said while making that sinister face he always makes when he says things.

“Not now Andrew, this is an emergency!” I said.

“Emergency you say? What happened Tsubasa?” Luigi asked a bit worried.

“Some sort of aircraft crashed 5 miles away from here so I’m going to assist the Cap-I mean General in a rescue mission… Everyone stay here and continue your training… I will come back to you once we arrive from the mission understood?” I said with a serious tone… Like that of a leader.

“Well, sure thing Tsu! Go along and play with Bio, we’ll stay here!” Jade said while smiling.

“Jade, they are NOT going to play! Didn’t you hear what Tsubasa said?” Nova grunted at

“Umm…sort of? Hee, hee, hee…” Jade scratched her head a bit while giving out that creepy giggle that always sends shivers up to my spine.

“Oh Jade! You’re silly, like always!” Blacky giggled.

“So, what are you waiting for, you azz? Fuck off!” Andrew said.

“Okay Fine jeez!” I said with a serious face and flew off again.

“Von Boyage! Bring Souveniers and make sure they are pink~” Jade waved goodbye at me… I simply rolled my eyes and let them continue their training.

I went back to where Bio was when suddenly I encountered a familiar face from the past.

“Eliama?! Wow! Is it really you?” I said in shock. Eliama is a Biogically-engineered Glaceon, meaning that she was experimented on like Bio. Bio rescued her years ago from a NOD Facility in which they were experimenting on Pokémon.

“We meet again Tsubasa! How are you doing?” Eliama replied with a smile.

“I’m doing well, but we should skip the formalities for later right?” I said while looking straight at her eyes.

“Hey Tsubasa, we should get moving, our transport is waiting.” A familiar voice said: It was Jon, Luigi’s vaporeon brother and my brother-in-arms.

“Hi Jon, you’re right man…let’s get going, we’ll talk later ok?” I said while moving on the transport area.

“Be careful sweetie!” A female shiny Eevee/Ninetails hybrid named Pearl said.  She is Jon’s fiancée and Bio’s sister.

“I will dear, this is only a recon mission, not actual combat!” Jon said as he kissed Pearl.

“OK people let’s go, we need to rescue those who are inside that crashed aircraft!” Bio said while he got on the transport.

“YES SIR!” Everyone saluted including me as we got in the transport.

It took us approximately 20 minutes to get there since we put the ship on “Full Throttle”…we were sort of dazed, but I managed to get out first and investigate the aircraft since I can fly.  The aircraft was covered in smoke and some sparks of electricity where flying so I took a deep breath and opened the door with some careful slashes from my Masamune Sword.  

To my surprise…Vee Vee was inside unconscious…she was not alone though. She was accompanied by other pokémon who weren’t morphs, I counted 4 and all of them were in critical condition due to the crash-landing…but, the worse one was Vee Vee…she was bleeding profusely and it looked like she wouldn’t make it if I didn’t act fast.  I immediately carried off Vee Vee to the Paramedics while I let the other pokémon to the care of the rest of the rescue team.  

Her breathing was strong and she had high-fever, she was constantly muttering Luigi’s name while she was crying and moaning in pain…it pained me greatly to see her in that condition so I also cried while I took her to the Paramedics.

As I was running towards the transport, Bio stopped me.  

“Tsubasa! Is that Vee Vee??” Bio was surprised.  

“Yes Bio…and she’s in danger of losing her baby!” I said with concern as Eliama came and put her hand on Vee Vee’s belly

“Her babies…they are in danger…I can feel them crying…let me do something…” Eliama closed her eyes and some strange aura surrounded Vee Vee’s belly.  Vee Vee let out a sigh of relief as her bleeding stopped.

“How did you…?” I asked concerned on what my eyes saw.

“During these years…I gained Extra Sensorial Powers or ESP for short, granting me psychic powers…but at a price…I’ll explain later.” Eliama said while breathing a bit heavily.

I left Bio and Eliama and rushed to the transport.  The other injured pokémon were taken care of as well as Bio-hazard specialists took care of the crashed aircraft since it showed signs of Hazardous waste…it seems “someone” used Tiberium to construct the aircraft.  On the way to the base, I held Vee Vee’s cold and pale hands while she was being kept alive by the paramedics…her condition was getting worse and worse by the minute, I feared for the worse, but we finally reached the base.

As Vee Vee was taken to the ward, I saw Andrew in the corner on his phone with a lot of concern in his voice. Before I began to debate in my mind of whether I should tell Luigi of what happened to Vee Vee, I decided to ask Andrew what was going on. I walked up to him slowly, expecting to be attacked for sneaking up on him, but instead he stayed in the corner, mostly silent and even starting to cry a little bit.

“Andrew, what happened? Why are you crying?” I asked him holding his shoulder. He responded by just jerking my hand away quickly, and actually began to cry, which I’ve never actually seen him do before in my life. “Andrew, I asked you what happened. You were happy just a few minutes ago, what happened?...” I asked him with concern in my voice.

“That bastard took her…” Andrew replied to me with his voice breaking up and choking up.

“Who?! Who took who? Is Suki in trouble?!” I yelled at him, turning him so he was facing towards me. His eyes were completely red with tears coming out of them.

“That Dr. Roper… He took Suki… He used her cell phone to call me and tell me that she was found and captured. In the background, I heard her screaming my name for help and then I heard someone slap her and she just fell silent…” Andrew explained to me with his voice breaking up again.

“Wow… I’m really sorry to hear that dude… But I assure you, we WILL find Dr. Roper and free all of his prisoners! Understand?!” I told him in a commanding tone of voice.

“Don’t use that frickin’ tone of voice with me!” Andrew yelled at me with great rage in his voice. “I swear, when I find that bastard, AAAAAAGH!!!” Andrew screamed as his eyes turned bloodshot red. I feared the worst would happen, so I walked away as Andrew underwent his “Transformation”.

When he’s really mad, his body is put under great strain, so his “split personality” reveals itself and his appearance changes by his own will. I walked away slowly as I saw Andrew punching a hole in the wall. I knew how enraged he was, and knew how he is when he’s like this, so I avoided him as he decided to, very violently and gruesomely; take out his anger on the training robots. The main thing back on my mind was, How would I tell Luigi what happened? Vee Vee is dying…and so is her baby.

“YOU IDIOT!! How could you let them escape??”
“Heh…what could I do? All of those brats attacked me and while I took care of them, they somehow managed to buy enough time to let the others escape…even though I don’t think they survived…Dr. Roper.”
“Bah! Fine then, they weren’t use to me anyway! I am almost done with the Ambrosia and these pitiful pokémons shall be disposed of like the trash they are, just don’t let them escape again Trace!”
“Yes sir, leave it to me…heh, heh, heh…”
“Hey you! What should I do old man?”
“Ah yes Asaki, you should be able to find me more suitable test subjects for my experiments…and eat those that don’t surrender…if you wish.”
“Heh, if I wish? Of course that’s what I’ll do, I’ll eat every single one of them!”
“Now now dear…I said only those who don’t surrender, remember that I was the one who gave you a home, so you will do as I say…or else…”
“GRRRRRRR…I can’t believe I’m obeying a human again! Fine, as you wish…Dr. Roper.”
“Now, come my children…let’s rejoice for immortality is at our grasp! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
